28/05/2017 || World Cup Long Distance: Tove Alexandersson and Magne Dæhli prove strongest ||Arena, News||

Two dramatic races in hilly and technically challenging Finnish terrain today ended with victory for Tove Alexandersson, Sweden and Magne Dæhli, Norway. They had started fifth and sixteenth respectively in the chasing start, both taking advantage of mistakes being made by the early leaders.

Sweden showed strength in depth in the men’s Middle race, with eight finishers in the top fourteen including four in the top six. Best of all of them was Martin Regborn, 29 seconds quicker than Olav Lundanes, Norway.

Fifty seconds was the winning margin for the very experienced Swedish athlete Helena Jansson in today’s World Cup Middle race. She put in a near-flawless performance in technical terrain and showed that she is again in excellent physical form. Closest challenger was Natalia Gemperle, Russia.

25/05/2017 || World Cup Sprint Final: tight victory for Yannick Michiels, clear one for Maja Alm ||Arena, News||

Yannick Michiels, Belgium took a close victory by just 2 seconds today over Matthias Kyburz, Switzerland in the Sprint Final – a first-ever World Cup win for Belgium. Maja Alm, Denmark won by 10 seconds ahead of Tove Alexandersson, a better route choice in the middle of the race proving decisive.

24/05/2017 || World Cup: Sweden wins Sprint Relay in close finish ||Arena, News||

A very close race on last leg between Helena Jansson, Sweden and Maja Alm, Denmark ended with a 1-second win for Jansson, and with Alm disqualified through mispunching. Second place went to Switzerland, 13 seconds down and third to Great Britain, 1 minute further down.
