IOF Events Application Overview 2019 – 2023 v2 (Read this document before applying)
The document contains; a list of all application periods for coming IOF Events (+ 5 Years) ; a list of all appointed IOF Events (Date and Venue); a list of appointed and coming IOF partner events; major national orienteering events and major international sports events.
IOF Policy on conflicting event dates
This document describes the priority order of deciding event dates. It also contains a calendar with event periods for IOF FootO Events. The calendar can be found in Appendix 1: IOF Event Period Calendar for Foot Orienteering Events

Note! On Council meeting 189, council decided for deviation in appointment procedure. Council may appoint WOC organisers for both 2023 and 2025, at this application period, if receiving several bids of high quality.

Junior World Orienteering Championships 2022
Note! The GA 2018 decided to change the JWOC program and include a Sprint Relay : “The Junior World Orienteering Championships is an annual event. The programme shall include a single-race Sprint competition, a Sprint Relay in the format WMMW, a single-race Middle distance competition, a single-race Long distance competition and a Relay as well as an opening ceremony, a closing ceremony and adequate rest and model events. The programme shall be kept within no more than 7 days.”
The first year with the new model is JWOC 2022.
