The programme and the Special Rules for World Cup in Mountain Bike Orienteering 2012 have been published. The World Cup 2012 includes four rounds.

The IOF Council has at its recent meeting appointed two new members for the IOF Ski Orienteering Commission: Valentin Garkov, Bulgaria, and Roland Hellberg, Sweden (from 1 July).

Senior Event Advisers for the following events have been appointed:
World Trail Orienteering Championships 2012: Jari Turto (FIN)
World Trail Orienteering Championships 2013: Roberta Falda (ITA) and Assistant Event Adviser Libor Forst
09/05/2011 || World Masters Orienteering Championships 2011 preview ||News||
This year’s World Masters Orienteering Championships will take place in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Pécs in Hungary during 28 June – 10 July. The event will be truly international as there are already entries from all six IOF regions with 3300 participants in total according to the last information by the organiser.
09/05/2011 || Ski Orienteering World Cup 2011-2012 ||News||
The programme for the World Cup in Ski Orienteering 2011-2012 has been confirmed. The World Cup comprises of three rounds: first round in the United States, second round in Ukraine and the final round in Sweden (provisional).
07/05/2011 || MTBO 2012: World Masters combined with the World Championships ||News||
The IOF Council appointed Hungary organiser of the World Masters Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships 2012. This means that the World Masters Championships will be organised together with the World MTB Orienteering Championships and Junior World MTB Orienteering Championships.
06/05/2011 || Johan Granath new Athletes’ Commission Chair ||News||
As Eivind Tonna, Norway, has finished his career on top level in ski orienteering, he has also announced that he steps down from his position as the Ski Orienteering Athletes’ Commission Coordinator. The Athletes’ Commission has therefore chosen Johan Granath, Sweden, as the new coordinator.
06/05/2011 || Cyprus IOF member No. 73 ||News||
At its meeting in Helsinki, the IOF Council approved the application for membership from the KOMOAA – the national sports federation governing, promoting and organising mountaineering, sport climbing and orienteering in Cyprus.
04/05/2011 || World Cup 2012 programme revised ||News||
The first round of the 2012 Orienteering World Cup has been cancelled at the organisers’ request. Therefore, the revised programme includes four rounds and altogether 12 competitions.
