The Orienteering Federation of Ecuador recently organised an orienteering Map Clinic in Quito, in the capital of Ecuador.
The participants were really enthusiastic and hopefully this map clinic will contribute the development of the orienteering in Ecuador.

Finland with seven and Sweden with six gained the biggest gold medal hauls in the twenty-three competitive classes in today’s Long Distance Final in Estonia. Gold medals went to eleven nations in all.

The 28th May 2016 represents a turning point in the history of Orienteering in Central American and Caribbean region. After several years of preparation, the Central America and Caribbean Orienteering Confederation was founded by Guatemala, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Belize.

Athletes from thirteen different nations have won gold medals in the WMOC Sprint Final which took place in the Old Town Quarter in Tallinn, Estonia today.

When Pavel Kurfürst was 13, his mother tried to help him find a good sport. He wasn’t a very sporty child, so it looked like being a difficult task. Luckily there was someone close to the family very active in orienteering, and so he found the right sport quite quickly. From that very first moment up to the European gold medal in TempO, achieved in May, it’s a fascinating journey of discovery and adventure.

During the last week of July, Portugal hosted the World MTB Orienteering Championships 2016. Scoring for the World Cup, the three individual stages of the competitive program showed a clear ascendance of Anton Foliforov and Emily Benham, both having reclaimed the World Cup leader jerseys.
