The International World Games Association (IWGA) has awarded the 10th edition of The World Games to the city of Wroclaw, Poland.
12/01/2012 || Strong start field when IOF High Level Event Seminar goes to Italy ||News||
The fourth IOF High Level Event Seminar will be organised 4-5 February 2012 in Venice, Italy. The High Level Event Seminars are planned for organisers, potential future organisers and other key persons of IOF High Level Events. This year’s special focus is on the World Championships, and amongst the Seminar participants there are organisers from all upcoming World Orienteering Championships (2012-2015), as well as from two World Trail Orienteering Championships, and from the candidate for World Orienteering Championships 2016.

The IOF Mountain Bike Orienteering Commission has prepared an updated version of the IOF MTBO Organisers Guidelines.

By the deadline of 1 January 2012, several applications to host IOF Events were received.
Sweden submitted its bid to host the World Orienteering Championships and the World Trail Orienteering Championships 2016. The Swedish Orienteering Federation would organise the Championships in Strömstad region, Western Sweden, close to the Norwegian border.

Our Athlete of January 2012 made her debut at the World Ski Orienteering Championships last year. And what a debut: she finished eighth on the long distance! In August she took part in the World Orienteering Championships in France. Alison Crocker, USA, is a name to remember for the coming winters – and why not also summers.
