World University Orienteering Championships 2014 programme confirmed

The event dates and programme for the World University Orienteering Championships (WUOC) 2014 in Olomouc, Czech Republic, have been confirmed as follows:
Monday 11 August – Opening Ceremony
Tuesday 12 August – Mixed Sprint Relay (2W + 2M)
Wednesday 13 August – Long Distance
Thursday 14 August – Sprint
Friday 15 August – Middle
Saturday 16 August – Relay + Closing Ceremony + Banquet
Sunday 17 August – Departure
Trainings have been scheduled for 8-11 August 2014 to allow out of Europe competitors to take part. There will also be a public 5-days’ race for all categories organised in conjunction with WUOC 2014.
“The nicest and biggest forests in our surroundings, two sprints in UNESCO World Heritage Towns (Olomouc and Kromeriz), Summer time, swimming, old castles, many tourist attractions and, last but not least, nice and friendly organisers will wait for you”, promises Event Director Dusan Vystavel. Olympic village style accommodation will be provided for all participants at a University campus in Olomouc.
