World TrailO Championships Relay: small nations win gold medals

Slovenia took the Open gold and Ukraine the Paralympic gold in the Relay, held on a golf course in south-eastern Lithuania in warm and sunny conditions.
For Slovenia in particular this was a major triumph, because only Kreso Kerestes in their three-person team has significant past success at international level. Norway were a close second and Czech Republic third, just ahead of neighbour nation Slovakia. Twenty nations had teams entered in the Open class.
