See an athlete whizz past wearing a yellow jersey? Must be the World Cup leader!

The IOF wants to recognise the performances of the top athletes in the World Cup. A part of this is to acknowledge the current World Cup leaders at the Flower Ceremony after each individual World Cup race. As a part of the flower ceremony, there will be a World Cup Leader Ceremony with the current leader in the men’s and women’s classes, and they will also receive a World Cup leader jersey as a sign of leading the World Cup.
The World Cup leader jersey has previously been introduced in MTBO, and it was premiered in FootO at the European Orienteering Championships this week.
The World Cup leader jerseys are provided by sports clothing manufacturers Siven Sports, as a part of an exciting new partnership between the IOF and Siven Sports. The partnership also includes Official IOF clothing and possibilities for local event organisers. Read more about Siven Sports on their website. To find out more about what the partnership can mean for you, contact IOF Marketing Manager Hans Jørgen Kvåle at hans.jorgen.kvale (at) orienteering.org.
