IOF Council has approved the organiser’s request to move the World Orienteering Championships 2015 Sprint qualification race to the evening of Friday 31 July. In the original event programme, the Sprint qualification was scheduled for the morning of the Sprint Final day, Sunday 2 August, just one day after the Sprint Relay competition. Now all three races will be organised on different days, which will allow each federation to use their best athletes in both Sprint Relay and individual Sprint competitions.
The location and the embargoed areas for the Sprint Qualification will remain unchanged (strict embargo on the town of Forres will will start from 12 noon on Friday 31 July).
