Updated special rules for the World Orienteering Championships published

The rules for qualification and starting order for the WOC long and middle distances races have been updated and are published in the Rules section for Foot Orienteering on the IOF homepage.
The most significant change is that starting order will no longer only be determined by World Rankings but will also take into consideration previous WOC performance. Also, any changes in the ordering of start groups, which can be determined by the WOC Senior Event Adviser, must be published at the latest in Bulletin 3 approximately 2 months prior to the competitions.
Senior Event Adviser for WOC Jørn Sundby notes in a comment that for WOC 2015 in Scotland the decision has been made that there will be no changes to the ordering of start groups.
