The man who put Croatia on the TrailO map

Ivo Tišljar from Croatia was already “irreversibly infected by the orienteering virus” at the age of 17 when he first got introduced to foot orienteering. Trail orienteering he found in 2000 at the Swedish O-Ringen and in 2004, after participating in the first World Trail Orienteering Championships (WTOC) in Västerås, Sweden, he decided to bring the discipline to his home country. Today the Croatian has two individual bronze medals from the latest World Trail Orienteering Championships in Norway and France and a third place from the Team competition in 2010.
