Redistribution of championship medals from WSOC and ESOC

Following the Anti-Doping Rule violation of a Russian Ski Orienteering athlete and disqualification of all her results from the European Ski Orienteering Championships 2017 and the World Ski Orienteering Championships 2017, the IOF Council have decided that the medals will now be redistributed according to the new results.
After testing positive for Meldonium, the athlete Polina Frolova, Russia, was sanctioned earlier this year to a period of ineligibility of four years, and disqualification of all results from the European Ski Orienteering Championships 2017 and the World Ski Orienteering Championships 2017.
At their meeting in Tartu, Estonia, in connection with the World Orienteering Championships, the IOF Council have come to the decision that the medals will now be redistributed according to the new results.
The process will now begin of updating the results, collecting and redistributing all medals and prizes, and recalculation of the World Ranking.
