There will be 46 starters in the Long distance women’s final on Thursday. This is because in the qualification race yesterday Tatyana Riabkina, Russia, was given the map for heat A, although she was listed on the start list of heat B.
Tatyana won the race in heat A, and it has been decided that 16 instead of 15 runners from heat A are now qualified for the final. It is Elisa Elstner, Austria, placed 16th in heat A, who has benefited from this situation.
