Nominations and Proposals to the XXVIII IOF General Assembly

The deadline for member federations proposals and Council nominations to the General Assembly was April 26th. At the deadline, 4 different proposals had been received by the IOF Office.
The Russian Orienteering Federation sent in 3 proposals;
- That all invoices from IOF Event Organizers shall be in English language and in either US Dollars or Euros.
- To list in the rules for each discipline which competition formats may be used in IOF events.
- That WRE events would be included as qualification races for the World Orienteering Championships in each discipline (except TrailO). The idea would be to increase the number of nations participating in the World Championships.
The Swedish Orienteering Federation proposes that the same estimated winning time should be used for both men’s and women’s classes in junior and senior international championships and the World Cup.

Additional information about the nominees, and the IOF Councils recommendations regarding the proposals, will be distributed with the General Assembly materials by June 26th, 2016.
