Nadiya Volynska was one of three smiling girls in third place at the first Sprint race in the World Cup. She enjoyed it, but the Ukraine likes one thing even better.

The girls in third place were 29 seconds behind the winner Judith Wyder on the 3.5 kilometre course with 22 controls.
Home in the new country
Volynska was happy to see her level; she is where she wants to be. The biggest goal for the year is in fact a bit on home ground. “Since 2008 I have been living in Sweden”, she says. Nadiya has got used to the Swedish terrain and knows what’s coming up at WOC. She lives in Rödeby, close to Karlskrona in the south-eastern part of the country. Strömstad is in the south-western part of Sweden.
