MTB Orienteering World Cup Relay title to Czech Republic
Posted on | September 20, 2010 | Category: News
The fight for the victory in the overall relay World Cup was extremely tight. Denmark won the final event in Italy, but as they had been disqualified in the first relay event, in Poland, they did not have a chance to win the overall World Cup. Instead, it were the Czechs and the Finns who fought for the victory.
At the end, Finland was stronger in Italy, but not strong enough. Finland finished fourth, after Denmark, Austria and Switzerland, and Czech Republic fifth. This meant that Czech Republic managed to win overall World Cup with one point before Finland. Denmark was third, after good performances at both the World Championships and the Final Round.
