Kyburz: “I have a good chance of winning”

Matthias Kyburz has the benefit of a big time gap down to Olav Lundanes in the chasing start, but will not say already that he will be the winner. “But my chances of winning are good”, he says.
Today he was placed second; again he was among the very best. He also got 90 more bonus seconds in the overall timings for the Nordic Tour. Olav Lundanes had the third best time today, but he was disqualified because he missed a punch from a control. “I was there, but clearly my punch was not perfect”, he says. The difference between the two first is 3.22. “But I can make some small mistakes and still get in front”, he says.
Thierry Gueorgiou starts just 11 seconds after Lundanes in the Nordic Tour final, organised in the neighbouring terrain to next year’s Middle distance at the World Championships.
Kyburz is already familiar with the terrain here. He was at week-long training camp in Vuokatti just after this year’s World Championships.
