Matthias Kyburz won the World Cup overall for the second year in a row. He has stayed in top shape for the whole year, but maybe not at his best in some important weeks. “I felt hard competition from Daniel Hubmann and it is great to achieve it again”, he says.

Last year he got the overall victory in Finland. This year it was something extra, achieving it with a lot people present on home ground. However this year he didn’t win any medal at the World Championships. No other Swiss man managed that either.

No reason for this has yet been found, but Matthias is wondering about the competition programme ahead of the Championships in Finland. “Maybe we peaked too early”, he says.
