Junior World Ski Orienteering Championships: Third gold for Olli-Markus, second for Maria

Olli-Markus Taivainen, Finland, took his third gold in the Ski-JWOC in Sweden today. Olli-Markus won middle distance before his team mate Leo Laakkonen, and the Swede Gustav Nordström.
Gustav’s sister Maria made the Nordström family’s day complete with her second gold from the competitions. She won sprint on Tuesday by just 3 seconds before Tatiana Medvedeva, Russia, and now the middle distance by 47 seconds before her team mate Tove Alexandersson. Marie Asprusten from Norway got bronze, losing 50 seconds to the winner.
The Junior World Ski Orienteering Championships continue tomorrow with relays.
