Sweden took all the medals in the men’s Middle distance final, with Emil Svensk winning the gold by just 1 second from Anton Johansson. Bronze medallist, 9 seconds down on the winner, was Jens Wängdahl.
Emil Svensk was 6th in last year’s JWOC sprint, and today he mastered the tricky boulder-strewn hillsides – very different terrain – in fine style. The other podium placings went to runners from Finland, Norway and the Czech Republic.
Interviews from the JWOC can be read in Around the Arena section on the IOF frontpage.
