Posted on | August 25, 2008 | Category: News
Daniel Hubmann, Switzerland, now leads the World Ranking list following his strong performances in the World Championships and O-Ringen. Middle distance World Champion Thierry Gueorgiou (FRA) holds the second place and Matthias Merz (SUI) third.
In women’s rankings, Simone Niggli-Luder’s (SUI) record 323-week reign as world number one has ended. Niggli-Luder has not run a WRE competition since March this year, and is now down to a third place in the World Rankings. The middle distance World Champion Minna Kauppi (FIN) is leading the ranking list before Heli Jukkola (also FIN).
The full rankings lists are updated weekly and can be accessed via World Rankings in the menu on the IOF front page.
