IOF Council and Commissions meet

The annual joint meeting of Council and Commissions took place 19 January in Helsinki.
Presentations by Michaela Gigon and Simonas Krepsta, members of the Mountain Bike and Foot Orienteering Athletes’ Commissions, provided the meeting with a thought provoking look at current developments in international competition from the perspective of the elite athlete.
The meeting was saddened to hear of the passing of Council member Heikki Kauppinen who died recently as the result of an accident. The IOF expresses its condolences to his family and to the Finnish Orienteering Federation.
