Gueorgiou: no injuries, again a winner

For almost the whole time since May, Thierry Gueorgiou has had problems with injuries, but now he is really back in the winning business.
“I have had two weeks of good running training now, and I think the problems are gone. I have had a tough time with the injuries, but I have not had so much injury earlier in my orienteering life, and it’s very normal to struggle with injury”, he says.
The ‘French Phantom’ won today’s Middle Distance with a margin of 42 seconds to Peter Öberg, and he is also up in second place in the total standings for the Nordic Tour after the first two of the five competition days. Overall in NORT he is just 34 seconds behind leader Olav Lundanes.
Thierry doesn’t feel he is in his best form yet, but he ran a great race at Holmenkollen in Oslo with fast and clean running. He lost only a few seconds during the race.
