The last event of Sweden´s first MTB Orienteering World Cup round was Mixed relay where all teams included two male and one female rider. From the start, Switzerland opened the race with some very fast riding. At the map change on the first leg Beat Oklé was in the lead together with Sweden´s Tobias Öström but Oklé magaged to create some gap before the first change and sent Christine Schaffner out with a 30 second’s lead. Even if Christine Schaffner had a good race, Finland managed to pass Switzerland and Jussi Laurila sent Juho Saarinen to the last leg. The last leg turned out to be a battle between Saarinen and Beat Schaffner (SUI), but when they showed up on the arena for finishing, Saarinen was in the lead and took the gold medal for Finland. The third place was taken by Denmark after a really goodlast leg by Erik Skovgaard Knudsen.
