CISM Military World Games long distance

Austrian Gernot Kerschbaumer improved his performance from the previous race and got a clear victory on the long distance 1:24 before Poland’s Wojciech Kowalski. Raffael Huber from Switzerland finished third.
In the women’s race it was Lithuanian Sandra Pauzaite who was fastest, 18 second before Hanna Wisniewska, Poland. Middle distance winner Aija Skrastina, Latvia, got bronze.
The orienteering events at the CISM Military World Games have got participants from all over the world, also from smaller orienteering nations such as Colombia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (Ok Byol Jong finished 11th on women’s long distance!), Ecuador, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, United Arab Emirates and Uruguay. The events conclude with relay on Friday.
