Cath Taylor – “I have to be careful”
Posted on | May 2, 2016 | Category: Arena, News

In 2015 Catherine Taylor had a great WOC on home ground and won the last race in the World Cup. Now she is just a spectator at the start of this year’s World Cup. She is thinking about what is coming next.
For some weeks she has struggled with her left foot. It first became better and then got worse again. “I got an inflammation again a couple of weeks ago. It’s under the foot”.
The foot is getting better now, and on Sunday she was out running in Sobotka. “I ran the Middle Distance”.
– And beat all the times?
“I don’t think so. I ran the men’s course”, she laughs.

Czech Republic next
Catherine has been a spectator at the World Cup races, to help get the foot better and also to be sure it’s going well, but this week she will do quite a lot of running. Together with some others in the team she will be go directly to the Czech Republic after the World Cup and stay there until Friday.
Two years ago she got bronze on Long Distance in Portugal. That’s so far her only international medal, and for her, EOC is ranked higher than the World Cup.
Better and better
The British star, who has been living mainly in Uppsala in Sweden for five years, has WOC on home ground this year, just as last year when it was in Scotland.
During her years in Sweden she has become one of the world’s best. Individually she did very well in Scotland with fifth place on the Middle and sixth on the Long. A couple of months later she won the Middle Distance at the final of the World Cup at Arosa in Switzerland.
