At the International University Sports Federation (FISU) Gala in Chinese Taipei, the IOF was awarded the FISU award for ”Best International Sports Federation”. Orienteering also received another award at the Gala when the Hungarian National University Sports Federation received the FISU award for ”Best 2016 World University Championship” for the orienteering championships held in Miskolc.

The World Cup final will be held in Grindelwald, Switzerland, on 29th and 30th September. Points from both of the final races (Long and Middle distance) will count for the final standings and will be added to the present scores, so the two last races will be very keenly contested.
