The IOF’s WOC in the Future project aims to create a new programme for the World Orienteering Championships (WOC). Here is a short summary of the process until now.
20/12/2011 || Application deadline for IOF Events ||News||
When the competition rules of all disciplines were updated, the application deadline for all applications to organise IOF Events was moved to 1 January. Therefore we’d like to remind the national federations to send their event applications so that they reach the IOF Secretariat at the latest on 1 January 2012.
19/12/2011 || European competition rules updated ||News||
All competition rules for European championships have been updated. The new editions will come into effect on 1 January 2012.
16/12/2011 || Organisers expect large number of participants for World Masters Orienteering Championships 2012 ||News||
Already 3100 participants have signed up for the World Masters Orienteering Championships 2012 to be organised in Bad Harzburg, Germany, during 1-8 July. These entries have come from almost 40 different nationalities, ranging from Brazil to New Zealand.

The Special Rules for the Orienteering World Cup 2012 have been approved and published. The World Cup in 2012 consists of 13 competitions in four countries.

The IOF standard for information exchange (the “IOF Data Standards”) is currently being revised. A preliminary draft of the new standard has been published, and is open for review. Your input is needed.

Anna Füzy is preparing for World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships 2012 on home ground. She found her way to orienteering quite late – at the age of 20 – but has developed to one of the best in the world since then.
30/11/2011 || New Competition Rules for MTB Orienteering ||News||
The IOF Council has approved new Competition Rules for IOF Mountain Bike Orienteering Events. These rules will be valid from 1 January 2012.
29/11/2011 || Invitation to IOF High Level Event Seminar ||News||
The fourth IOF High Level Event Seminar will be organised during 4-5 February 2012 in Mestre Venice, Italy. The seminar targets appointed organisers, potential future organisers and key persons of IOF High Level Events, including already licensed Event Advisers.
