Andrey Lamov won both races in Norway, and showed impressive speed in the forests close to where WSOC will be next winter.
– Can you do better than this at ESOC later in the winter – at home in Russia?
“Yes, I hope so”, Lamov smiles.
Now he has four more important races this week. Then it is time for more training, and to try to build up to a new top level.
Russians took the first three places in the Sprint, with Lamov first. “I like this kind of orienteering with a lot of tracks. You have to be very good in reading the maps and tracks”, he says.
