The Swede Peter Arnesson is so far the only athlete with a medal from each race at the World Ski Orienteering Championships in Tänndalen. After finishing third in both Sprint and Middle distance, Arnesson got a silver medal from the Mixed relay together with Helene Söderlund. “I am not far from my best shape ever”, says Peter.
Through the years Peter has grabbed a total of eight World Championships medals but he is still missing a gold medal. “I have six silver and two bronze medals. Two more medals including a golden one would really be incredible”, says Arnesson.
Peter’s fight for more medals continues on Saturday in the Long distance race. On Sunday he will compete in the traditional relay.
