27/07/2017 || The World Games Sprint Relay: Denmark back on winning form ||News||
The first three runners from Denmark were able to stay with the pack before Maja Alm made a gap on the rest of the field in a fast and tight sprint relay race around the soggy Wroclaw Zoo. Their lead was 26 seconds over Switzerland, and Russia took third place, 40 seconds behind.

Helena Jansson, Sweden, about today’s race and The World Games: “I know I have done everything I could. It was really technical. The area was very green and I tried to stay calm and have a good plan for every control. Today was my day.”

Matthias Kyburz about the Middle distance race: “My race was pretty good. I started quite fast and I saw Gustav Bergman. I tried to catch him and was really running on my limit.” He also explains how much he enjoys running at The World Games. “It is not the same pressure as at the World Orienteering Championships.”
