Media representatives wishing to cover World Orienteering Championships in Vuokatti are advised to hurry up with their accreditation requests. Deadline for submitting the accreditation e-form is March 31. The same date is the deadline also for both WOC and WTOC team accreditation’s first phase, preliminary entries.

The IOF IT Commission has published a new version of the IOF Data Standard. The Data Standard is a specification of an XML data format for the interchange of orienteering-related information between applications, web services and databases.

The IOF has made a decision to reduce the number of scores used to calculate the MTB Orienteering World Ranking overall scores. The overall scores will now be calculated as the sum of each athlete’s four best scores.

The IOF Council has today appointed Eivind Tonna (NOR) new chair of the IOF Ski Orienteering Commission. Tonna succeeds Markku Vauhkonen (FIN), who has decided to resign due to lack of time.
