A new version of the IOF World Ranking Scheme Rules has been made available on the IOF website. The changes include the addition of ski orienteering rules and clarifications to some of the existing rules points.

The IOF has signed a three-year sponsorship contract with Nokian Tyres. Nokian Tyres is a Finland-based tyre company that focuses on customer needs in Northern conditions.

The IOF is seeking a part-time Sports Director for ski orienteering for the years 2015-2016. We are looking for a person who possesses a solid knowledge of ski orienteering, and who is able to support the IOF’s ambitions for development of the ski orienteering discipline.

On the top rung of the ladder at the end of an exciting World Cup season are Emily Benham, Great Britain and Anton Foliforov, Russia. Overall victory is by 15 points for Emily and 77 points for Anton.

Neither team was top favourite for victory today, but it was Russia first to the finish in the women’s relay and Estonia in the men’s. Finland took the silver medals in both races, and bronze medallists were Czech Republic (women) and France.

Gold medallists in the World MTB Orienteering Championships Long Distance race in Supraśl, Poland today were the Russian riders Olga Vinogradova and Anton Foliforov. The bronze medal went to Denmark in the women’s race and France had two top-six placings in the men’s.
