07/11/2014 || WOC 2015 Sprint qualification moved to Friday 31st July ||News||
IOF Council has approved the organiser’s request to move the World Orienteering Championships 2015 Sprint qualification race to the evening of Friday 31 July in order to allow each federation to use their best athletes in both Sprint relay and individual Sprint competitions.

At the first ever IOF Event in South America, the World Masters Orienteering Championships, the first winners have been crowned.

The IOF Council discussed at its recent meeting the future compositions of the IOF Commissions. The national federations have now been, or will be during this week, contacted regarding their members in the Commissions. After that, the new compositions will be published on the IOF website.

Our Athlete of November reached the top this year in two disciplines: foot and mountain bike orienteering. He became Junior World Champion in Sprint in foot orienteering, and on Middle distance in MTB orienteering.

People may still remember the successful World Games 2009 and Deaflympics 2009 in Chinese Taipei. The Chinese Taipei Orienteering Association (CTOA) now announces that the Asian orienteering working group has appointed Chinese Taipei organiser of the Asian Orienteering Championships 2016.
