Alexandersson and Lysell head World Cup standings

At the end of the New Zealand round of the 2013 World Cup, the overall standings are headed by the Swedes Tove Alexandersson and Jerker Lysell.
In the women’s races Tove Alexandersson won twice in New Zealand and her compatriot Helena Jansson once, and they hold first and second places in the overall listing. Ida Bobach, Denmark has run consistently throughout and is placed third.
Jerker Lysell and the two Swiss athletes Fabian Hertner and Matthias Kyburz have each had one victory, but Lysell has achieved the best results overall. Matthias Merz’s results place him third with one point more than Kyburz.
The World Cup continues in early June with the Nordic Tour round which consists of five races – two conventional Sprints, a Knock-out Sprint, a Middle distance and a Long race with chasing start.
