A news magazine every day
Posted on | July 18, 2012 | Category: Arena
Every day the Daily O Magazine rolls off the press in the early hours and is distributed to various outlets so that everyone attending the championships can easily get a copy. Sixteen pages in each issue, it is full of news, reports, results and comment.
Today’s issue focuses on the Middle distance final and the two winners, Minna Kauppi and Edgars Bertuks. There is an analysis of Fabian Hertner’s route choices – “where he won bronze and where he lost gold”. There are features on the longest serving orienteering journalist of all, Matti Leikas from Finland, who has reported on all world championships since the very first in 1966, and on the Czech team’s massage expert, who is a Swede, Lars Åke Dickfors. And quite a lot more, in words and not least in pictures.
3,000 copies are printed every day. It can also be read as a pdf file on the event website www.woc2012.ch.
