The IOF Council has approved new Competition Rules for IOF Mountain Bike Orienteering Events. These rules will be valid from 1 January 2012.
29/11/2011 || Invitation to IOF High Level Event Seminar ||News||
The fourth IOF High Level Event Seminar will be organised during 4-5 February 2012 in Mestre Venice, Italy. The seminar targets appointed organisers, potential future organisers and key persons of IOF High Level Events, including already licensed Event Advisers.
22/11/2011 || Ski Orienteering World Cup on three continents ||News||
This winter’s World Cup in Ski Orienteering includes four rounds in four countries: USA, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Sweden. Three of the rounds are at the same time IOF Regional Championships.
21/11/2011 || IOF compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code ||News||
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published its Compliance Report, which follows the conclusion of a three-year monitoring process whereby WADA assessed the anti-doping rules and regulations of signatories to the Code. According to the report, the IOF is compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code.

The International Orienteering Federation, in cooperation with the Italian Orienteering Federation, is pleased to announce the IOF High Level Event Seminar to be held in the Mestre area of Venice during 4-5 February 2012.

02/11/2011 || WOC in the Future, a request for feedback from the national federations ||News||
After discussing the matter with the national federations at the IOF Presidents’ Conference in August 2011, the IOF Council has now prepared a proposal for the future World Orienteering Championships (WOC) programme. The proposal, together with background information and implementation details, has been sent to the IOF member federations.

01/11/2011 || Athlete of November found her way back to orienteering ||News||
Annika Billstam stopped orienteering at the age of 17. Her break took eight years, but when she finally returned to orienteering, she noticed how much she had missed the sport. She decided to start to train again. Ten years later, she became World Orienteering Champion on long distance. Read her story in Athlete of the Month – November.
