Daniel Hubmann was back in the Swiss Sprint Relay team, but his race started in a very stressful way when he failed to collect his map on the way to the changeover point. The Swiss star ran very well, however, and Switzerland won the race and also got their first overall win in this competition.

Switzerland displayed their current strength in depth today, having three teams finish in the first four. Sweden took second place and the third country to finish was Denmark. The result gives Switzerland the overall title.

Tove Alexandersson and Matthias Kyburz have a comfortable lead in the overall World Cup standings before the last round in Aarau, Switzerland. Not so comfortable though, that their pursuers can’t reach them with good races.
