Ida Bobach did it again: she won the long distance race with almost two minutes marginal. She is running well all the time and has as incredible calmness and orienteering skills.
–I ran well in the beginning of the race, but had a less good period in the middle part. I didn’t feel that strong in my running, she says.
Even she didn’t feel that strong on the long race at Svinkløv, 40 kilometer west of Aalborg in Denmark for a time, she didn’t lose her concentration. She just went on with good map reading, which resulted in the best possible way: with a new Junior World Champion title.
Ida is showing strength on very high level also among seniors. There are some talks about her as a candidate for the Danish national team at the World Championships in Trondheim in August. Ida, who has one year left as a junior, is open for the chance.
– If they choose me in the team, it will be very interesting to get to compete at the World Championships. I want to see how it is. But if I don’t make it to the team this year, it will also be OK. There will be many more years and chances to run the World Championships, she says.
