World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships start today

The World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships (WMTBOC) and the Junior WMTBOC are taking place this week at Vicenza, Italy. Athletes have been entered from 30 nations for the three individual formats and the relay.
Today the long distance qualification race is being followed by the Opening Ceremony. Tomorrow (Tuesday) the long distance finals will be held between 9:30 and 14:30 at Marostica-Bassano.
Then follows a rest day, and the remaining programme is:
Thursday, middle distance finals, Pozzola di Villaga, 10:00 to 15:00
Friday, relays, Alonte, 10:30 to 14:00
Saturday, sprint finals, Sassano, 14:00 to 15:30, and the closing ceremony.
