Swedish & Swiss runners take top sprint qualification places

Only two nations managed first-place results in this morning’s sprint qualification in Aix-les-Bains: Sweden and Switzerland.
Heat winners in the women’s qualification heats were Linnea Gustafsson and Lena Eliasson, Sweden, and Judith Wyder, Switzerland. In the men’s heats the first-placed runners were Matthias Kyburz and Matthias Mueller, Switzerland and Anders Holmberg, Sweden.
These runners will be the last starters in the finals, which begin at 15.00 this afternoon in Chambery.
