Ski-EOC 2006: Clarification on the use of wild card
Posted on | December 14, 2005 | Category: News
According to the valid Special Rules for the European Ski Orienteering Championships, the current European Champion shall be given a wild card to enter the qualification in the next Ski-EOC in addition to the ordinary entries from his federation (Rule 4). In 2006, the Ski-EOC will be organised in conjunction with the Final round of the Ski-O World Cup 2006 in Ivanovo, Russia.
If a federation decides to use a wild card for Ski-EOC where there are no qualification races, i.e. enter 7 participants to a final race, the wild card competitor takes part in the Ski-EOC only and will not appear on the Ski-O WCup result list, i.e. will not be given Ski-O WCup points for this race.
