Lenka Klimplova new Chairwoman of the RYDC Commission

The IOF Council has approved the appointment of Lenka Klimplova as the new Chairwoman of the Regional and Youth Development Commission.
Lenka Klimplova is from the Czech Republic and, among other voluntary duties within the sport of orienteering, she has been secretary in the European Working Group.
– Lenka Klimplova is familiar with the tasks that the RYDC are given, and has followed the work of the RYDC closely for some time. I am sure that Lenka, with her competence and firm leadership, will be a very good chairwoman for the RYDC, and I am really looking forward to cooperate with her, says Astrid Waaler Kaas, IOF Council.
The transition will take place immediately, and Lenka Klimplova will lead the Commission at the coming commission meetings at WOC in August.
– I see my new challenging role as that of a coordinator of all the enthusiastic and hard-working people and important activities of the RYDC, as well as other volunteers interested in development of orienteering. My first task will be to prepare – together with Astrid and the RYDC – the Global Development Conference which will take place August 24th in Strömstad, says Lenka Klimplova.
