Automatically generated maps from WOC 2016 terrain now available
Posted on | May 18, 2016 | Category: News

For fairness reasons, the organisers of the World Orienteering Championships have published automatically generated maps covering the embargoed areas. These maps could be generated by persons with access to a certain database, so to ensure equal possibilities for all nations to prepare for the WOC, these maps have been made available to all.
The maps are created using information from a combination of different sources, and largely resemble human-made orienteering maps. You can read more about how they are made and study the maps at the WOC 2016 website.
