SkiO: Event Advisers’ and Organisers’ Clinic 2-4 March

The IOF SkiO Commission are organising an Event Advisers’ and Organisers’ Clinic in conjunction with the SkiO World Cup Round 3 and JWSOC in Obertilliach in the beginning of March. This Clinic is organised for the education and recruitment of new IOF licensed Ski Orienteering Event Advisers and organisers. National federations are asked to identify and enter suitable candidates.
The Clinic will include many interesting topics, such as:
- SkiO Olympic project
- Understanding of the task of an IOF Event Adviser
- Critical points for a well successful event
- Review of updates of the IOF rules, other supporting documents and main current requirements for international competition
The course will also include examples of best practise from major events, as well as group exercises, field work, critical assessment of organisation of competitions (namely long distance), participation in team leaders’ meetings and observation of jury work. Remember to pack sports equipment and clothing for outdoor activities!
