Not at all as expected for Coupat

When Vincent Coupat came to Scotland he was preparing for one distance, and that wasn’t at all the Relay. Sprint was what he was selected for, but the championship didn’t, luckily for him, end with the first individual race. “It’s just a bit crazy and unbelievable”, he smiles after the Relay. He ran very well on the first leg. Together with Lucas Basset and Frederic Tranchard it ended with a medal.
After Coupat had run the Sprint he ran the Middle Distance since Philippe Adamski was selected for the Relay. The same Adamski later had to say no to the Relay due to an injury. Thierry Gueorgiou wasn’t running the relay, but the French impressed a lot.

Coupat also did also a good race on the Middle, and the Championship is not over at all. “I will also run the Long Distance”, the bronze winner says.
He has really had a lot of races and will also bring a medal home to France.
