Kris Jones: nervous in quarantine

Kris Jones is really wondering how amazing the final will be, with his great start to the Championships in the qualification. He was one of the three heat winners with being nine seconds faster than Øystein Kvaal Østerbø in group two.
Jones is one of the big British hopes at the third WOC in Scotland. The first was in 1976 and the second in 1999, 16 years ago.

Jones really felt something big was on when he was in the quarantine. “There were so many strong athletes”.
The clean race, with a lot of pushing from the audience with a lot from his own nation cheering in the run-in is something he noticed well. “When it can be like this in the qualification it’s to wonder how great it can be in the Final”.
– What’s the goal for Sunday’s race in the centre of the little town of Forres?
“A clean race”, he says.
The runner from the organising nation will not talk about results, but he has showed that he’s one to look out for.
