Signe Søes is heading to a highlight of the summer. The fast-travelling Dane is on her way to The World Games in Chinese Taipei.
-I have had some problems with injuries, but everything’s looking good now, Signe smiles.
Last week she took part in Dolomittene 5-days that was organized in conjunction with the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Italy. She was amongst the very best.
– It was a really good training especially for the World Championships in Hungary, she says.
Good team in Kaohsiung
After the competitions in Italy Signe visits her home in Denmark to wash some clothes and prepare for a new trip. Now it is time for The World Games in Kaohsiung in Chinese Taipei.
– It will be fun, and Denmark has a good team, Signe says.
The 26-year-old Dane is an experienced competitor, and one of the favourites in Kaohsiung. She has been among the very best in the world for some time now and at the end of last year she had several very good races: In the two last events of the World Cup, she finished second (middle distance) and third (sprint). These are the two individual distances at The World Games too.
