Junior World Ski Orienteering Championships: Olli-Markus still on top

Olli-Markus Taivainen has won gold in JWOC in ski orienteering three times in a row.
-It was really great to win again, but the first time is always the most special, he says.
Last year was he a part of the winning Finnish team in the relay. Two years ago he won the sprint. In Orsa Grönklitt he succeeded in doing that again, and it looks like something has happened during the last two years: In Austria he had a gap of six seconds to the second best. Now the gap was 48 seconds.
-I’m much stronger now than two years ago. At that time, I needed a perfect race to win. This race was also good, and I got a bigger difference, he says after the competition where he made one mistake of ten seconds on one control, but still won.
Olli-Markus is not only good in ski orienteering: he has also participated in JWOC in foot orienteering. He is good at being good at the right time.
Olli-Markus Taivainen won the first distance at the JWOC in ski orienteering in Sweden this week.
