Kyrgyzstan new member of the IOF

At its recent meeting in Kiev, Ukraine, the IOF council admitted the Kyrgyzstan Orienteering Federation as provisional associate member of the IOF. With Kyrgyzstan included, the IOF now has 69 members.
The Kyrgyzstan Orienteering Federation is based in the capital Bishkek. The Federation is recognised by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and registered with the Ministry of Justice of the KyrgyzRepublic.
Earlier this year, the former associate member Moldavian Orienteering Federation was admitted to provisional full membership of the IOF.
The memberships will be ratified by the next IOF General Assembly, which will be held in July 2008 inOlomouc, Czech Republic.
